Clemente, italienischer Lyriker, * Mailand 6. 1. 1885, ✝ Stresa (Provinz Novara) 1. 11. 1957; Lehrer; stand dem Kreis der Zeitschrift »La Voce« nahe, in der er seine ersten Gedichte (»Frammenti lirici«, 1913) veröffentlichte. Unter dem Eindruck des Ersten Weltkriegs wandte er sich u. a. buddhistischem Gedankengut zu (»Canti anonimi«, 1922). 1931 trat er in das Kloster der Rosminianer in Stresa ein. Seinen geistigen Werdegang beschrieb er in »Curriculum Vitae« (1955).
